Who this is for
This one is for you if
- You own three spatulas because you couldn't find the first two.
- The worktop has disappeared under things that live nowhere in particular.
- The back of the cupboard is a mystery, and some of it is older than the cupboard.
- Putting the shopping away is a wrestling match.
What's included
How we'll spend the session
- Everything out of the cupboards, so you can see what you actually have.
- Dates checked as we go, and out with anything long past it.
- Duplicates, gadgets you've never used and the chipped ones. You decide, I bag them up.
- Cupboards grouped around how you cook, with everyday things within reach.
- Food storage sorted so you can see what you have before you shop.
- Worktops cleared, and a proper home for the things that were living on them.
- Labelling if you want it, so the rest of the household puts things back.
- In-date food bagged for a food bank of your choice, and I drop it off.

Questions
Questions I get asked
Is this just tidying?
No. Tidying puts things back where they were. We change where they live, so putting them back is easy and the kitchen stays workable.
How long does a kitchen take?
Most kitchens are one session of around four hours. A big kitchen with a pantry or utility usually needs longer.
Do you clean the kitchen as well?
Yes, I'll wipe out empty cupboards before things go back in, but I don't do any other cleaning.
What about food that's in date but we won't eat?
Unopened and in date can go to the food bank. You choose which one, and I drop it off.
Will you make me get rid of my gadgets?
No. You can keep the pasta machine. We'll just find it a home that's not the worktop.
